Wakeful Journey
How I work: gentle hypnotherapy, shaped around you
I use hypnosis, a natural, deeply relaxed and focused state, to help us gently reach the beliefs underneath a pattern. My main method is Rapid Transformational Therapy® (RTT®), woven together with coaching, body awareness and lots of warmth, so the work fits you rather than the other way round.
Read Adele’s 60-second welcome note
“Hello, and welcome. I’m Adele, speaking to you from Salt Rock on the KwaZulu-Natal coast. If you’ve been holding everything together on the outside while feeling tired, anxious, or stretched thin on the inside, take one slow breath here. Nothing is broken in you—your nervous system has simply been working hard to protect you. We go gently, at your pace, and you stay in charge the whole way.”
What does hypnosis actually feel like?
Most people say it feels like that dreamy moment just before sleep, or being lost in a good book. You can hear everything, you can speak, and you can stop at any time. Nobody can make you do or say anything you don’t want to.
What is RTT®, in simple words?
RTT® blends hypnotherapy with talking and reflection. In hypnosis, we look at when a feeling or habit first began and what you came to believe about yourself back then. Then we gently update those beliefs with kinder, truer ones.
It’s not about reliving the past over and over. It’s about understanding, releasing, and choosing something new.
What a session looks like
1. Settling in. We talk about what you’d like to feel different, and you get comfy at home with headphones.
2. Going deeper. I guide you into a relaxed, focused state of hypnosis.
3. Letting go and updating. Together we explore what comes up, make sense of it with compassion, and plant new, supportive beliefs.
4. Your personal recording. You receive a hypnosis recording made just for you, to listen to daily for about three weeks so the new messages settle in.
You’re always in charge
Hypnotherapy here is gentle, collaborative, done with your full awareness, and tailored to you.
It isn’t mind control, losing yourself, being told what to think, or reliving painful things without support.
Mind, body and meaning
Where it helps, we might add breath and body awareness, coaching to bring insight into daily life, or space for what gives your life meaning. You choose what feels right.
Gentle care note: Hypnotherapy isn’t a replacement for medical or psychiatric care. If you’re under treatment or taking prescribed medication, please check with your doctor first, and let me know so we can work safely together.
