RTT® & Coaching for Anxiety, Trauma-Related Patterns & Confidence.
My Approach
At Wakeful Journey, I work with emotionally intelligent adults navigating anxiety, panic patterns, trauma-related responses, confidence blocks, and persistent self-doubt.
Through online RTT® Clinical Hypnotherapy and structured coaching, we address the subconscious beliefs and emotional imprints shaping these experiences.
Many challenges that appear different on the surface often share a common thread — protective patterns formed in response to earlier stress, fear, or trauma-related experiences. When these patterns are understood at their root, meaningful change becomes possible.
All sessions are conducted online via Zoom from South Africa (GMT+2), allowing clients worldwide to access structured, confidential support.
RTT® for Panic Responses
Panic responses can feel sudden and overwhelming. Often, they are linked to subconscious associations formed during moments where the nervous system perceived threat or instability.
RTT® works to identify and reframe these early associations, reducing the emotional charge attached to them and supporting nervous system stabilisation.
The goal is not suppression — but understanding and updating the original meaning the mind attached to the experience.
RTT® for Trauma-Related Patterns
Trauma-related patterns may show up as:
Hypervigilance
Emotional shutdown
Fear of rejection
Repeating relationship cycles
Chronic self-protection
Avoidance behaviours
Many of these responses were once protective. However, when the original context is no longer present, the pattern may continue unnecessarily.
RTT® supports individuals in uncovering the root experiences that shaped these protective beliefs and gently reframing them in a structured and consent-based way.
RTT® does not replace psychiatric or medical care. If you are under treatment for a diagnosed condition, consultation with your healthcare provider is recommended.
RTT® for Eating Patterns & Emotional Regulation
For some individuals, eating behaviours are closely connected to anxiety, trauma-related experiences, or attempts to regulate emotional overwhelm.
RTT® does not replace specialised treatment for eating disorders. However, when appropriate, it may support exploration of subconscious beliefs around safety, control, worth, and emotional protection that contribute to disordered eating patterns.
Understanding the emotional root often reduces shame and increases self-agency.
RTT® for Fear of Rejection & Relationship Patterns
Fear of rejection frequently originates from earlier experiences of criticism, instability, or perceived abandonment.
These subconscious imprints can influence attachment patterns, communication styles, and relational dynamics in adulthood.
During RTT®, clients often uncover the original root events shaping these patterns. These moments of clarity — often described as “aha” insights — allow reframing to occur from a place of understanding rather than self-blame.
Understanding is power. When the root is clear, new beliefs can take hold.
RTT® for OCD Tendencies, Phobias & Compulsive Behaviours
Obsessive tendencies, phobias, and compulsive patterns are often protective strategies created by the subconscious mind to manage perceived uncertainty or threat.
RTT® focuses on identifying the origin of these protective responses and updating the beliefs that maintain them.
This approach is collaborative and structured. It does not replace psychiatric care for clinically diagnosed conditions but may complement appropriate treatment when suitable.
RTT® for Depression & Emotional Shutdown
Persistent low mood, emotional numbness, or reduced motivation can sometimes be linked to unresolved emotional experiences and subconscious beliefs around identity, worth, or safety.
RTT® supports exploration of these underlying narratives, helping individuals reconnect with clarity and internal stability.
The process prioritises emotional safety and gradual reframing.
RTT® for Self-Sabotage, Addictions & Weight Patterns
Self-sabotaging behaviours, addictive tendencies, and recurring weight struggles often serve as coping mechanisms rooted in earlier emotional experiences.
Whether expressed through habits, relational cycles, or body-related challenges, these patterns frequently trace back to subconscious beliefs formed during stressful or trauma-related events.
When clients understand the original context in which a belief was created, self-judgment decreases — and meaningful behavioural change becomes more sustainable.
A Trauma-Informed Perspective
In my experience, many persistent emotional and behavioural patterns — from anxiety and panic to phobias, relationship difficulties, and confidence blocks — can often be traced back to earlier protective responses.
The mind is not broken. It is protective.
When clients uncover the moment a belief was formed, they frequently realise that the pattern once served a purpose. From that place of understanding, reframing becomes possible — and new, supportive beliefs can take root.
This is where lasting change begins.
